Our page is mainly about sharing the places we’ve been, the experiences we’ve had while we were there and some of our favourite pictures, on our Instagram. But why have we chosen to see as much of the world as possible? We both work full time and try to fit in as much as we can during our limited annual leave simply because we believe life isn’t meant to be spent in one place. Especially when that place is as cold and miserable as Scotland can be at times!
Aimee in particular loves planning our trips down to the last detail. Where we are going, what we are doing and, most importantly, finding the best possible deal she can to get there! I swear, she will spend days on end looking at flights and hotels to establish this before we book something.
Every time we do book a new trip, whether it’s Bangkok or Belfast, we still get a buzz from the fact we’re gonna explore a new place and start researching what to do when we get there. That’s the feeling that lets us know this is what we should be doing!
When you travel you experience different cultures, eat different foods, meet different people and essentially make the memories, and friends, that will be with you for the rest of your life. These experiences will teach you more about the way of the world, and the millions of different people that are in it, than any education or job possibly can and it will also make you richer for it.
Our plans for the future basically revolve around this fact. Why on earth would anyone wanna spend their life behind a desk (almost every day of the year), take 2 weeks off to sit on a sun lounger in the Canary Islands, spend your wages paying bills only to retire at 65 with nothing much to show for it bar your house and pension? Then, worst of all, deciding you might want to do something different but it’s too late because you don’t keep healthy enough. Some people might be okay with that, but not us. Our plans for the future are big, and we want you to follow our journey, ticking off countries as we go and sharing what we’ve learned about each place.
